Heatseal

Heatseal is a coating of adhesive which is dry to the touch until activated by the application of heat through the coated substrate. All heat activated materials require correctly heating plates, the material should be in contact under pressure during application. Variations of heat, pressure and dwell time affect adhesion performance.

Heatseal materials are specially designed for a very strong bond on rough surfaces such as textiles. They can be used as reinforcement or a carrier material in the sample making industry. In the carpet industry they are sometimes referred to as “Iron on Labels”.

multiSTiQ produces heatseal products based on woven, non woven and paper substrates. Coating weight can go up to 260 gr/m2.
